Born
on Oct. 26, 1950 in Frederick, MD. Chuck was taken as the 12th overall
pick in the 1973 NFL Draft and was the NFC Rookie of the Year, rushing for
801 yards on 182 attempts and catching 37
passes for 362 yards. He was named
conference player of the year by The Sporting News in 1974 and by United
Press International in 1976. Chuck was named to the All-Pro Team in 1975
and 1976 and from 1973 through 1977, played in five consecutive Pro Bowls.
Rushing for 5,950 yards and 53 touchdowns in 1,556 carries, averaging 3.8
yards per attempt, and catching 350 passes for 3,156 yards, a 9.0 average,
and 23 touchdowns over his NFL career. Since retiring from football, Chuck
has also been nominated for the Hall of Fame.
Chuck was on the Dean's List at the University of Miami from 1971-1973,
and Iron Arrow Honor Society in 1972. He graduated in 1973 from the U
with a Major in Special Education and a Minor in Education
Administration. He completed Graduate School after his rookie season with
the Minnesota Vikings with a Major in Education Administration. Today on
top of all of the celebrity and charity events Chuck is involved with, he
is also a teacher in the Bloomington, MN school district, where he subs 3
days a week.

Minnesota Vikings Children Fund, Ronald McDonald House, Children's
Heart Fund, March of Dimes, Special Olympics, SCTA Public Television

Foundation to assist in raising money for drug awareness and
athletic programs at area schools. Plus countless other speaking
engagements for secondary schools and related organizations.

Over the past 2 years we have teamed with the Wal-Mart
Corporation to raise money for the Children's Miracle
Network and to fund this program, so that it may be
provided at no charge to the schools. During that time
we have spoken to over 25,000 students, driven over
70,000 miles and helped raise over $45,000 for charity.
In March of 2005 the College Football Hall of Fame
honored Chuck with the Community Service Award, for
his work with Midwest at-risk youth.
