Attended Wake Forest University where he served as

the starting quarterback, punter and place-kicker. Lead the nation in punting during senior year with a 44.8-yard average earning him the consensus All-America status. Played in a record five post season bowl games following senior year; Blue-Gray, North-South, East-West, Hula Bowl and the Coaches All-America Game. Was inducted this year into the Wake Forest Sports Hall of Fame.
Signed with the New York Jets in 1977 and served as the team’s punter for eight seasons. Punted a record 568 punts with the longest traveling 79 yards. Also handled the team’s back-up quarterback and place-kicker duties. In 2003 was selected to the All-Time New York Jets team as the punter.
Co-founder of NextLevelPrep, a national recruiting

service for high school athletes, both male and female. Conducts several punting and kicking camps and clinics throughout the southeast. Very active in various charity events such as the Special Olympics, childrens’ hospitals and several charity golf tournaments. A firm believer in “to whom much is given, much is expected”, and giving back truly is a privilege. Currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, situated at the foot of the beautiful Smokey Mountains.
