Professional life and sales coach Craig Thompson

is a native of Hartsville, SC where he was a two sport letterman in Football and Baseball at Hartsville High.
After a two year stint at Chowan Junior College, Craig transferred to N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C., where he helped turn the Aggie football program around. As a Tight End, Craig broke the Universities single season touchdown reception record and also set the Universities career TD reception record with 19 career TD receptions. He broke these records while only playing two years at A&T. He helped the Aggies win the MEAC Conference Championship in 1991. He was selected to the Associated Press All-American Team, Sheridan Black College All-American Team, and All- MEAC Team. Craig became the first person from his High School to be drafted into the NFL when the Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the 5th round of the 1992 NFL draft. After Cincinnati, he had a short stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After the NFL, Craig was contacted by Warner Bros. Pictures to play a part in the Oliver Stone film “Any Given Sunday”, where he played Tight End and also had a role as a stunt double. He was a part of an all-star cast which included; Al Pachino, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, LL Cool J, Jim Brown, Dick Butkus and a host of other stars and NFL legends.
Mr. Thompson is the owner of BigTyme Coaching & Speaking where he coaches individual clients to be catalyst for change in order to reach their goals. It was during his playing days as an elite athlete that he developed a passion to help others reach their true potential. Craig realized he had a talent for motivating and coaching people to the next level of success. Craig has a BS degree in Communications and enhanced his coaching style through Coach Training Alliance.
Cherishing his relationship with the NFL, Craig remains involved as a former player. He is the Vice President of the Charlotte Former Players Chapter for the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). Craig has worked with numerous charities; Samaritan’s Feet, 2XSalt Ministries, Bethlehem Center of Charlotte, and he serve on the board of Ambassadors for Youth Commission International (YCI) that touches 132 cities in 32 states to better educate our youth.
Craig currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his beautiful wife Olympia, and has a 15 year old son Craig Jr. who attends South Mecklenburg High School.
