ROD SMITH

Rod Smith a standout cornerback at Notre Dame, was taken in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Following three seasons in New England, Smith was the first overall selection by the Panthers in the 1995 expansion draft and started in the first ever football game in Panthers history. Finishing his career with the Packers in 1998, Smith has gone on to provide commentary for ESPN’s college football coverage and the Carolina Panthers’ radio pre-game and post-game shows.
